I chose Akimo not only because of the spirit that shines through his photographs, but also because these photos embody what this show is all about. Wonderful dogs, full of character, captured on film for one moment - a  moment can be shared a lifetime and with the world.

Perhaps I have enjoyed our German entries more than anyone. Most of all I enjoyed their spirit, their sense of fun. The unpleasantness that over shadowed our show was unknown to our German friends...their bliss was better.

Thank you Christoph Weyd for these great photos. Thank you Beate Puerner for all your hard work in making this happen, and thanks to all the Akita-Friends...the majority of the entries came from you.
